Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on August 5 for its 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, where she was moderator and host. It was only when she began writing that her real passion emerged. The Talk, her outstanding talk show won her an Emmy. She co-hosted the CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 between 2002 and 2010. In the past she was the news anchor of The Early Show and anchor of CBS Morning News, the morning show of the CBS Television Network, a half-hour broadcast.Chen Moonves was a reporter on a variety of major news events for The Early Show, including the 2003 war in Iraq. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo in the aftermath of 9/11. She went down and talked to the father of the hijackers in an eye-opening and fascinating interview. Prior to joining CBS News, Chen Moonves was a reporter for WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). She also was employed by ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first job in broadcasting as a Desk Assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is among her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel collaborated in Anatomy of a Riot - the primetime TV special which won the Columbia du-Pont award - which examined how the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
